The Veggie Vanguard, created by chef and artist Carole Levy, is a resource for living a Whole Food, Plant-Based SOS-free lifestyle. Education and inspiration come together through cooking classes, kitchen organization, meal planning, and nutrient-dense recipes to empower individuals and communities to foster better health.

CLASSES

Whether you want to learn the basics, dive deep into a particular cuisine, or have a class tailored to your specific needs, The Veggie Vanguard has something for everyone. Web-based learning and in-person classes are offered for groups or individuals. Personal coaching is also available to help shop, organize, and prepare meals.

PERSONAL CHEF

You lead a busy life, you want to make healthy choices, yet your priorities do not include standing in the kitchen preparing meals. You can have a fully catered event or I can shop, cook and leave your fridge stocked with as many meals as you desire. All ingredients will be fresh, locally sourced and seasonal.

ORGANIZATION

A large part of being a successful home cook
is having a functional kitchen where you can move with ease, access your ingredients and be productive. Let me help you eliminate temptations in your home as you transition to a healthier lifestyle. I will help you maximize your space, organize your kitchen, and teach you how to sustain the transformational change.

PERSONALIZED RECIPES

Do you have a favorite recipe that no longer works with your whole food, plant-based diet? Have you discovered a new recipe that calls for something you don’t eat? Let me be your test kitchen - I will adapt recipes to fit your specific needs, breathing new life into your
old favorites or customizing new discoveries.

FARMERS’ MARKET TOUR

Join me for an insider’s tour of NYC’s Union Square Greenmarket. Walk the market, meet my favorite vendors, discover new products and get tips for choosing the best produce.
We will talk with the farmers about the term “organic,” the significance of buying local, and what it means to eat seasonally. This is
a popular class, don’t miss out.

“My desire is to encourage and inspire people to take chances in the kitchen, cook without fear and be open to creativity, all while embracing delicious nutrient-dense food combinations.”
